Camp at the lake Baikal

This summer we could go to the lake Baikal, again, and enjoy the beauty of God's creation.

We made a many pictures as we drove by car through the mountains

The view on the lake Baikal from the hill.

Every year since 1997 our friends from Ust-Kut church are doing this camp in the wilderness.
Every year in the beginning of July, the team is coming  to set up tents and kitchen and outhouses at this Federal park. Then children camps begins for two weeks. Boys and girls of age 10-15 are coming for fun and Bible classes. The atmosphere is peaceful and lovely. It's great evangelical event.

Kitchen. Lunch time is coming...

This summer the weather in Siberia was pretty hot!
Children could swim and play in water a lot: every day a few times!

Second term at camp is five days family camp: adults and kids are coming together from different churches.
Also, it's open for non-christian friends. It's good time to build relationship and demonstrate God's love to people around us.

We participated at Family camp. There was an excellent combination of different activities:
sport, swimming, games, entertainment, drama, worship time, and Bible seminars every day.
Everyone could find something interested for them to meet their needs.
We provided seminars on different topics. Also, we could pray with people.

Altogether 130 people were at Family camp (51 children different age)

We are marching to get fun with clay.

Clear water of the lake Baikal.

Natural beauty of forest

Every night 9-11pm - fun time. Everyone had an opportunity to show their talents in creativity!
Shining stars! Day light time here is so long during the summer!

Bonfire

With our team we drove to the high point of the hill and prayed there to bless people living around the lake Baikal. So far, some nations worship to shamans. We proclaimed for them to find the Savior Jesus.

Ulkan, Magistralny

We visited and ministered in a few small villages.
After driving on Siberian roads, we are much more thankful for quality of American highways.

August in Siberia. You can see lots of birch-trees.

Small running creek with clear water

Bicycles still be reliable contemporary transportation in villages. People drove bicycles to church.
We drove 130 miles by car about 3 hour and a half to get to Ulkan.

Small group of believers in Ulkan village. They are glad to have us.
We know them for many years and keep our friendship alive.

Here we are at another small village Magistralniy.
Since last summer we noticed a great progress in remodeling of church building.
New windows, flooring, drywall, and ceiling in the worship room. We remember those church pews since 1996. Nice quality of handmade pews!

We are friends since our first children camp on the lake Baikal in 1997 where she could hear about Jesus for the first time in her life.

We are with worship leader Yulia

Same room about a year ago under remodeling....

Ust-Kut city

Worship time in Ust-Kut church

This summer we visited orphange in Ust-Kut and spent time with youngest children

Ministry in Zheleznogorsk City

We drove about 80 miles west from our base church to minister in the nearest church. It took 2.5 hours by car due to the quality of the road. We enjoyed the beauty of the nature land.

There was a gigantic quarry in the town with its own power station to pump water and gas from the
quarry floor. It was truly awesome to see this giant quarry: output of the iron ore. The meaning of the name of the city is "the city of the iron"

The front view of the church building (it was a municipal kinder garden building in the past)

Prayer during the church service

My friend from Ireland came to my city again after 20 years. He was there back in 1994 with the international team. It was our privilege to serve together again! Praise God for all of His miracles and blessings we could see in our lives!

Ust Ilimsk city, Home of mercy and more

We are amazed how much reconstruction work was done with this building in a year!

Prayer room and worship room

Three or four people live in each room of Home of Mercy

Work in a progress

Dining room. We had a chance to meet with people living there and share some stories and pray for them

Worship time in Ust-Ilimsk church on Sunday morning service. Also, we had Saturday teaching on God's gifts.
