At 9 PM of local time on September 16, we arrived to Bogota.
The landing to the mountains was enjoyable and not painful for our ears at all.
Shortly, we found that Yuriy's luggage did not arrive and would not arrive in 24 hours until later tomorrow. Yuriy needed his dress clothes since he was scheduled to speak the next day, so Delta covered the cost of his new suit, tie, and shoes. Thank you Jesus! We spent a few hours next day for shopping.
The night view of the city.
At the shopping center.
Here he is dressed in the brand new outfit! Savis is doing translation for Yuriy.
Savis is the one who translated for Yuriy in 2006 and is familiar with the common mistakes of Russian speaking people. Savis did a great job, again! Thank God for bringing people together!
Everyone at that first evening service received a blessing. People's hearts were open to the Word and responsive. Praise God! The Holy Spirit worked powerfully and made changes!
Same evening, Pastor Don and Bill ministered in other churches. Our team could reach many people at three different areas of a big city Bogota.
The following night, all four of us participated in an evening crusade at Manatial church. Pastor Don was the main speaker. He shared several powerful testimonies that increased the faith of all the precious people. He also introduced us and Yuriy greeted the congregation in Russian which brought lots of excitement to them as they have been praying for the nations. They are still remembering persecution time in Russia.
Many people have seen Russians for the first time. At the end of the service they wanted to touch us and tried to communicate. We had a great time of worship together. Many people came for the prayer. It was a wonderful night filled from the beginning to the end with the mighty presence of the Holy Spirit. Elizabeth from Venezuela translated for all of us. People got encouraged and ready for big things. One girl accepted Jesus that night. All glory to Jesus!
